At the end of June 2025, we headed to Provence for a full-day trip to explore the stunning Verdon Canyon in its best summer form – perfect for swimming – and the world-famous lavender fields, which reach their peak bloom just before the holiday season begins.
Among the participants were Anja and Aila, German-born creators of the YouTube channel Riviera GO!, who have lived on the French Riviera for over 20 years. Their short, dynamic videos showcase the beauty and highlights of the region. This time, they joined our adventure and captured the day beautifully in a video:
We usually start our Verdon Canyon tours around 6:30 a.m. in Nice and return after 9:00 p.m. Along the way, we stop at scenic viewpoints, charming villages with delicious local food, and admire the unique mix of fauna and flora. The day flies by in a great atmosphere, and the memories last long after the trip.
The highlight of the day is a longer break by Lac de Sainte-Croix, where we rent pedal boats or kayaks to enjoy the views from the water. In summer, the lake and the Verdon River are pleasantly warm – swimming here is pure joy and a refreshing break on hot days.
Between June 20 and mid-July, we also visit the famous lavender fields of Provence, where tourists flock to take unforgettable photos. The endless purple landscapes are absolutely worth seeing in person.
We invite you to join this and other tours along the French Riviera. Years of experience, deep local knowledge and a passion for the region allow us to create relaxing, well-organized trips without stress or rush.
See you soon in the South of France.
