Salut!
In the second half of September 2022, I had the great pleasure of presenting the charms of the French Riviera to some exceptional guests. Maria and Andrzej flew down to the south of France for 5 days, of which we spent a full 3 days cycling.
First up was the famous Col d’Eze – this well-known climb from the Tour de France is a great opportunity to “check off” the Promenade des Anglais along the way, and then get some exercise on the picturesque climb to 507 meters above sea level, after sitting on a plane for so long.
The rented bikes turned out to be perfectly suited to the users, the weather, as usual, was fantastic, and the views – you can clearly see and hear the reactions in this recording :)
We ended the trip with a sunset on Mont Boron, which offers a great view of almost the entire Nice. One of the must-see routes during a vacation on the French Riviera.
And although we didn’t know each other before, we quickly found common ground and together marveled at the spectacular views – a Romantic met another Romantic :)
Massif de l’Esterel, Day 2 of the stay.
This time we went west to show our guests one of the most beautiful and not very popular places on the French Riviera.
The Massif de L’Esterel Nature Park is a unique creation of Mother Nature. The massive volcanic rocks with exceptional reddish color make a great impression on viewers. They rise up to about 500 meters above sea level, fiercely emerging from the sea. The stunning views are called by some “Little Colorado”. I don’t know, I haven’t been there, but there is probably a lot of truth to it. The admiration was endless!
We also took the opportunity to test the regional railway, which is an effective and comfortable way to expand the range of your cycling trips. It’s definitely worth recommending – perfect for exploring further areas of the French Riviera.
Finally, we managed to have lunch at the local restaurant “Snack la Cabane Chez Monique”, which we highly recommend for a longer stop on this route. However, it’s worth checking if and at what times it’s open :). Snack la Cabane Chez Monique
We finish the trip with a visit to the old town in Cannes, a stop in Juan Les Pins where we visit one of Aleksandra’s numerous workplaces, and end with ice cream in Antibes at Plage de la Gravette.
Not many kilometers, but countless experiences. That’s the charm of Romantic Cycling. They ate, drank, and saw a lot!

It would take too long to write about it, you just have to see it. Watch the short videos – although according to the words in the second video – no words or photos can capture this view.
The hotel chosen by our guests is: https://www.levalduchesse.com/ It’s truly exceptional, definitely worth it.

Day III. We’ve already been to the east, we’ve been to the west – the north is left.
We started with a private wine tasting from a local winery, then went on a largely walking tour of Tourette Sur Loup, and ended the day with local waterfalls in the Gourdon area. It’s hard to believe how many wonderful things can happen in just a few dozen kilometers of cycling. The companions were delighted, the guide gained a lot of experience, and also saw previously unknown, very interesting spots.
The trip ended at the www.spoc.fr store, where we returned the bikes rented for 3 days – everything went smoothly and without any problems.
It’s hard to describe – no words can convey what we saw on that memorable Thursday :) I invite you to admire it, I encourage you to visit!

It’s great to see your smiling faces.
Best regards, Krzysiek
